Ekiti APC State Women leader Visits Ado-Ekiti LG

....Eulogises JKF led administration

Ekiti APC State women leader, Princess Monisola Afuye on July 18th visited Ado-Ekiti LG.

She was warmly welcomed by the Executive Chairman of Ado-Ekiti LG, Hon. Motunde Fajuyi who led other leaders of women to receive her as the Chief host. 

Present to receive her were Hon Kemi Balogun MHA II, Prof Francesca  Aladejana, Hon Jumoke Olaniyan and other leaders.

The State Women Leader, Princess Moni Afuye rolled out a long list of the achievements of the party in government.

She eulogised the JKF led administration as focused and humane, reaching out to every LG with needed projects with Ado-Ekiti LG in the lead.

She equally gave kudos to the wife of the governor Erelu Bisi Fayemi for her consistent efforts on women matters.

Ado-Ekiti LG Chairman, Hon Motunde Fajuyi in her welcome address  appreciated the timely visit of the State Women Leader's visit.

She expressed great joy that the visit was a divine arrangement to be on her 200th days in office as Chairman.

She eulogised the governor HE, Dr John Kayode Fayemi as a great and compassionate leader whose footsteps she's proudly following at the grassroot  governance.

The Chairman became emotional while expressing her appreciation to HE, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, who she described as extra passionate and always ready to help others.

She prayed for the first couple's good success and lifting.

She assured the visitors that Ado-Ekiti LG remains the strongest support base for JKF and his government.

She mentioned that Ado-Ekiti LG women especially are solidly APC compliant.

She promised to keep encouraging and mobilising the women by all good means.

She appreciated all the party leaders, political office holders and their wives for ensuring a solid progressive base in the LG.

She led the women in passing of a vote of confidence on JKF and all levels of the party executive.

The virtues of the first couple were reeled out by many women in their contribution.

Prayers and praises became the order of the day from all who spoke to uplift JKF and Erelu.

The women  present variously also poured encomiums on the Chairman who they referred to as Okanlawon being the only female LG chairman in the state and Okanlomo as a performing chairman.

They advised the State Women leader on ways to make the party more vibrant.

The visit is the first public outing of the women in Ado-Ekiti LG after the lockdown lift.
It must be appreciated that COVID-19 protocols were maintained.

The women left happily with gifts from the state and local women leaders.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.

Gulak's Death: Buhari Vows to deploy all resources' to capture culprits

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed outrage and disgust over what he called “the heinous murder of Adamawa politician Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo State by yet to be identified gunmen.” Reacting to the development on Sunday, the President said: “I’m repulsed by such premeditated and gruesome murder of Gulak by evil people who are determined to undermine the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our country.” “Let me warn however that nobody or group of people who engages in such despicable acts should expect to go free.
