Confusion Rocks Ekiti PDP As Fayose Threatens Omolase To Debunk Apology To Olujimi
Tension in Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, as allegation and counter allegation continues to rock the opposition party in the state.
Barely 4hrs after the Senator representing Ekiti South District, Mrs.Biodun Olujimi threatened legal action against the immediate past Chairman of Ekiti South West local government, Mr Lanre Omolase over a comment credited to his person in an online media, Wazobia reporters.
Reports have it that Mr Omolase has publicly apologised to the Senator, saying he had no knowledge of the said comments or publication and that he had not granted any interview with any media lately.
It was also gathered that Omolase's decision to apologise to Senator Olujimi did not go down well with the former governor Ayo Fayose, as he was reported to have immediately ordered Omolase to debunk it as rumour.
However, The Ekiti South West local government PDP Chairman, Hon. Idowu Akinbode had earlier in a press release sued for peaceful coexistence of party members and charged them on political tolerance.
