Ekiti State Govt. Warns Filling Stations To Desist From Fraudulent act.

The government of Ekiti State has given stern warning to all filling stations operating in the state to desist from short-changing consumers or engaging in any fraudulent act.

This position was made known today when the State Petroleum Task Force under the Chairmanship of Hon. Peter Adekunle made an inspection to some filling stations in Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ido-Osi local governments areas and some parts of Ado-Ekiti metropolis.

Hon. Peter Adekunle while speaking with newsmen after today's monitoring tour, detected the fraudulent act of some filling stations  who were caught of adjusting their fuel pumps at the detriment of innocent consumers.

The State Chairman of Petroleum Products Regulation and Consumer's Protection Agency added that filling stations has no right to be short-changing consumers going by the hike in price of petroleum products.

"We have giving stern warning to all filling stations visited today by our task force to sell in normal way  to consumer and stop short-changing them"

"Any filling station caught in this dubious act or short-changing consumer will face the wrath of the law" Hon. Peter Adekunle said. 

The Petroleum Task Force Chairman added that the present administration in Ekiti State under the able leadership of H.E, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi will never condone any fraudulent act.

Hon. Peter Adekunle added that the Task force will continue to do everything within his capacity to protect consumers' right.
