Ex Senator, Buruji Kashamu loses life to coronavirus at 62

Buruji Kashamu, former Senator from Ogun State is dead.

Kashamu was said to have died from coronavirus complications at the age of 62.

Nigerian politician and businessman, Ben Murray-Bruce confirmed the politician’s death on Twitter. 

According to him, he died at the First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Murray-Bruce wrote; "I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19 . 

Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. 

May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.
Kashamu represented Ogun east in the eighth senate.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.
