LG Director Killed By Gunmen in Ekiti.


 Tragedy struck over the night in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital as a director with the Local Government Service Commission, Mr David Jejelowo was assassinated by unknown gunmen.

It was  gathered that the senior officer was killed at about 1am of Monday at his residence in Igirigiri Ado Ekiti but could not ascertain how and why he was killed as at the time of this report.

The incident was said to have thrown the whole community into palpable calm and shock.

When contacted, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu confirmed the killing noting that investigation was on to unravel the details behind the dastardly act.

He promise to give more information about the incident to journalists  soon.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.
