2nd Year Anniversary: Fatoba Hails Fayemi For Achievements


A member of the House of Representatives,  Hon. Olusola Steve  Fatoba has congratulated the governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Dr. John  Kayode Fayemi on his second anniversary in office.

The Federal lawmaker who described governor Fayemi as a role model said every right thinking Ekiti person at home and abroad would be proud of the achievements of the governor despite the global current economic downturn occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.

Hon. Fatoba representing Ekiti central Federal Constituency 1 at the national assembly, Abuja said governor Fayemi had done remarkably well in different spheres through his people's oriented policies and programmes 

This was asserted in a statement made available to our correspondent in Ado-Ekiti earlier this morning. 

According to the Reps member, the second coming of Governor Fayemi has opened many doors of opportunity, thereby fast tracking growth and development in the state.

Hon. Fatoba also applauded the deputy governor and other members of the state Executive Council as well as the legislators for teaming up with the governor towards ensuring the realisation of the set  goals and objectives of the present administration.

He urged Ekiti people to keep supporting the governor for him to be able to record more laudable achievements in the years ahead.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.

Gulak's Death: Buhari Vows to deploy all resources' to capture culprits

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed outrage and disgust over what he called “the heinous murder of Adamawa politician Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo State by yet to be identified gunmen.” Reacting to the development on Sunday, the President said: “I’m repulsed by such premeditated and gruesome murder of Gulak by evil people who are determined to undermine the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our country.” “Let me warn however that nobody or group of people who engages in such despicable acts should expect to go free.
