God Is Not Happy With Us For Our Sins Are Many

By Wasiu Owolewa

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth"-Roman 1:18

Going by the words of God as enshrined in the holy Bible and holy Quran warning men against all ungodly and unrighteous acts for there is dire consequence or punishment for it.

Bad happenings around the world today can be attributed to God's anger on us for our sinful act which we have been warned to do away with.

Some months back, the world was hard hit by the deadly Coronavirus popularly known as COVID-19 which led to loss of lives and economic downtown.

Coronavirus is one of many crisis that have hit the world making our minds unsettled. Our ungodly way of life attracts God's wrath on us.

Nigeria as the heart or giant of Africa is not spared of God's anger which can be deduced from various crisis ranging from economic to political.

From the outbreak of COVID-19 to #EndSARS protest which resulted to destruction of lives and property,  shattering our siren peaceful environment, one will begin to  ask himself or herself, "Is this not God's wrath" or "Has the world near its end"

We might be correct to say that the current bad happenings in Nigeria and the world at large is God's wrath on us for our sinful act or   the end of the world.

With the look of things around the world, God is not happy with us. He is angry with us because we have deviated from His way in our daily activities and behavior to one another.

Nigerians can be likened to the biblical Israelites who were always faced with God's wrath the moment they turned away from him.

Because our sins are many, God decided to whip us in various ways so that we can have a rethink and come back to him.

The present situation of blood shedding, high cost of living, insecurity in Nigeria points to direction of God's anger on us.

We can never have it at ease with our ungodliness and unrighteousness.

The blame is not only with our leaders but we followers also.  Bad governance that we are all shouting against has its root from our different homes.

Everyone of us should take a look at how we govern our various homes. Government starts with the family as an institution.

A bad husband can never be a good leader.

Going further, let's also look at the conduct  in our various churches, mosques, companies, civil service and others.

All the aforementioned places can not be exonerated of ungodliness and unrighteousness which are parts of the genesis of the  problem we are facing in our society.

The quest or desperation  to amass wealth at all cost make men to commit all sorts of ungodly and unrighteous acts.

It is time for us to retrace our steps and come back to God so that the sanity we make clamour of can be restored back to our society.

No government can make this work but God.

It is when we come back to Him that He will direct our leaders to do the right things for us
