Buhari Expresses Displeasure Over The Killing Of over 40 Rice Farmers In Borno State

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed displeasure over  the killing  over 40 rice farmers in Borno State on Saturday, November 28, 2020, by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

The farmers were reported to have been attacked while harvesting their crops at a rice field in Garin Kwashebe area of the state.

Reacting to the brutal murder of the victims, President Buhari in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, described the killing of the farmers as senseless, adding that the entire country is hurt as a result of the killing.


The statement reads in part, “President @MBuhari has expressed grief over the killing of farmers on rice fields at Zabarmari, in Jere Local Government of Borno State, describing the terrorist killings as insane.
