Fatoba Empowers Farmers In Ado, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Train Them On Cocoa, Cashew Production


In fulfilment of his electoral promises to boost agricultural production, Member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency one at the national assembly, Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba(MHR) has trained and  empowered some selected farmers in Ado, Irepodun/Ifelodun local governments  on Cocoa and Cashew Production.

The one-day programme which took place at Afe Babalola event center in Ado-Ekiti was to  sensitise farmers on post Harvest loss management and the need to put  more effort on  agricultural production as remedy or substitute to dwindling oil revenues.

Hon. Fatoba  through one of his aides,  Hon. Dele Olanipekun opened  that this training and empowernment programme by Hon. Fatoba was to further widen their scope of  knowledge and assist them towards the improvement of their agric businesses especially on Cocoa and Cashew production. 

Speaking in the same vain, one of the trainers, Mr Ayaobu Cookey of the Nigerian Institute For Oceanography and Marine research, Lagos state, commended Hon. Fatoba for organizing this kind of training for his constituents and charged them to be focused and attentive to what they would be taught.

The Ado-Ekiti LG APC party Chairman, Hon. Mike Akinleye gave kudos to Hon. Fatoba for coming up with such a brilliant idea.

At the end of the one-day training programme,  selected farmers in Ado, Irepodun/Ifelodun were empowered with cash to support their farm businesses.

Some of the beneficiaries that spoke with newsman at the end of the programme commended MHR Fatoba and and prayed for his continual success.
