Fayemi Approves The Extension Of Dedicated 33KV Power Line To JIBMORE ICT HUB, Ikun-Ekiti


The Ekiti State Government under the leadership of Governor Kayode Fayemi, has approved the extension of a dedicated 33KV power line to Jibmore ICT Hub and Center of Excellence, Ikun Ekiti.   


The Governor, ably represented by the Director-General, ICT, Dr. Hakeem Bakare, visited the site of the ICT Hub and Centre of Excellence situated at Ikun-Ekiti in Moba Local Government Area of the State for an on-the-spot assessment of the project.   

 Bakare, who was impressed by the level of infrastructure he met on ground, promised to support the ICT Hub and Centre of Excellence in every way possible to achieve its objectives. The ICT HUB sited in Ikun Ekiti by Mr Micheal Olajide( Baba Oba) the CEO of Sidmac Technologies.

Kareem Agunbiade, Ekiti West LG chairman faces impeachment for alleged fraud, working against Fayemi's interest

Should the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, refused to intervene as he was said to have done on previous occasions, the chairman of Ekiti West Local Government area of Ekiti State, Kareem Agunbiade, may be on his way out of office as the Local Government Legislative Council has commenced impeachment process against him.  Majority Leader of the Legislative Council, Okunola Busayo Idowu, who moved the motion for impeachment of the chairman on Tuesday, accused him of misappropriation of the council fund and working against the interest of Governor Fayemi by being the leader of a group he called G8. Ekiti Monarch Shot By Gunmen

There was a palpable tension in Ewu-Ekiti, Ilejemeje Local Government of Ekiti state on Friday evening as the traditional ruler of the community, the Elewu of Ewu Ekiti, Oba Adetutu Ajayi narrowly escaped death as suspected gunmen rained bullets on his car. The monarch was said to have sustained gunshot injuries and now being hospitalised in an undisclosed medical facility in Ekiti State. A source told journalists in Ado Ekiti on Saturday that the monarch was travelling in his official car to the neighbouring Ayetoro Ekiti, in Ido/Osi local government when the gunmen struck. “The monarch was travelling in his car to Ayetoro when the bandits waylaid him and in an attempt to escape, they pursued him and rained bullets on his car. “The bullets hit him on the legs, arms and stomach. The traditional ruler is now receiving treatment in a tertiary hospital in Ekiti”, the source said.
