2023: 80, 000 Youths In Bauchi Form Team in APC To Dislodge Ruling PDP

In their determination to unseat the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led government in Bauchi state in the 2023 governorship election, 80, 000 youth drawn from the 20 local government areas of the state who are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have formed a group of like minds called ‘Team APC Bauchi state’

Addressing at the official inauguration of the team held at Ganjuwa local government, the state chairman and founder of the team Honourable Aminu Lasisi explained that the group is a political movement within the APC aimed at mobilizing popular politicians and more supporters to join the party to enable it take back power in the state in the next election.

“The organization is aimed at embarking on massive mobilization of people of the state, supporting and contributing towards the success of APC in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

“The coalition also aims to bring unity and stability among members within the party, promoting level playing ground for all members, pacifying aggrieved members and reconciling warring members”. He said.

The chairman added that other objectives of the team are to provide workable strategies for the party’s campaign so that it could unseat the ruling PDP.

Lasisi also said that the team was not established to be a rival to the state executives clarifying that it is meant to reposition and strengthen the party.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.
