Ekiti Moves To Bring Down Price Of Rice, Meet With Distributors


In furtherance of the effort of Dr. John Fayemi's administration to bring down the  prices of commodities in Ekiti State, the state government has  met with rice distributors on how they will reduce the hike in price for the interest of the general public. 

The state government through the Chief of staff to the Governor, Hon Biodun Omoleye, represented by the Senior Special Assistant on Mobilization, Prince Tunji Ogunlola expressed concern over the hike in the price of rice in the state. 

Him. Omoleye observed that price for a bag of rice in the neighbouring states are far less than what is obtainable in Ekiti State, called on the distributors to make necessary adjustment for the interest of the citizenry. 

Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Community Engagement and Enlightenment, Hon Tosin Aluko, described rice as a general food in the country and expressed worry how the food now become unaffordable for.
