The Commissioner for Trade and Industries, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, gave this warning during a meeting of the EXCO Market Pricing Committee, and representatives of the State Informal Sector at the Palace of Ewi of Ado-Ekiti.

The Committee which was set up by the Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and headed by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, on the heels of the astronomical increase of prices of commodities and services across the State, has been working and consulting with various stakeholders in their efforts at normalizing these prices.

He added that the Ewi-in-Council was already making consultations with various heads of associations, to combat the scourge of price gouging in the State capital.
