*Ekiti Youth Fiesta 2020: Opening A Window Of Opportunity For Youths.*


It is an indisputable fact that youths are the bedrock of the society. No society can thrive successfully without the impact of youths. 

It is with this notion that Ekiti state governor and Chairman of Nigeria Governor's Forum(NGF),  H.E, Dr John Kayode Fayemi decided to open a window of opportunity for youths to showcase their talents through the Ekiti Youth Fiesta 2020 platform; a   carnival - like program which will begin from 22nd December to 23rd December 2020.

Ekiti Fiesta 2020 is primarily designed to celebrate and promote youths in Ekiti state. This brilliant initiative by governor Fayemi further exhumes  his commitment to cater and develop the  potentials of our youths. 

The two-day event will bring together ,youths from all parts of Ekiti state who are talented in one area or the  other for exhibition . 

Ekiti Youth Fiesta 2020 is not just a show for fun fare but a good way of showing the world the great impact Ekiti youths can make in the development of Ekiti State . It also shows how committed our Governor is in his resolve to promote young talents which has given us a sense of belonging.

At this juncture, I want to passionately advise my fellow youths in Ekiti to make use of this platform offered them by Ekiti Youth Fiesta 2020 to showcase their potentials to the world.  Let's turn up for this great event.

I must  commend our energetic S.A on Youths & Students Matters to the Governor for his good representation of the youths  and commitment towards youth development in Ekiti state. 

Ekiti Youth Fiesta 2020 will be  a great event which must be graced by us.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.

Gulak's Death: Buhari Vows to deploy all resources' to capture culprits

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed outrage and disgust over what he called “the heinous murder of Adamawa politician Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo State by yet to be identified gunmen.” Reacting to the development on Sunday, the President said: “I’m repulsed by such premeditated and gruesome murder of Gulak by evil people who are determined to undermine the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our country.” “Let me warn however that nobody or group of people who engages in such despicable acts should expect to go free.
