Buba Marwa Appointed By Buhari to chair NDLEA


Retired Brigadier Mohammed Buba Marwa is the new chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

He was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace Col. Muhammad Abdallah, whose tenure ended on January 11.

Marwa, an APC chieftain from Adamawa, was the former military administrator of Lagos State from 1996 to 1999, where he made an impressive mark.

He also served as administrator in Borno between 1990 and 1992.

Before his appointment, he was Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee For The Elimination Of Drug Abuse.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.

Gulak's Death: Buhari Vows to deploy all resources' to capture culprits

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed outrage and disgust over what he called “the heinous murder of Adamawa politician Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo State by yet to be identified gunmen.” Reacting to the development on Sunday, the President said: “I’m repulsed by such premeditated and gruesome murder of Gulak by evil people who are determined to undermine the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our country.” “Let me warn however that nobody or group of people who engages in such despicable acts should expect to go free.
