Igangan Female Farmer Raises Alarm, 'Arrest Seriki Fulani And His Son If I Am Assassinated Or Kidnapped'

Following a seven-day matching order and subsequent driving away of Fulani herdsmen from Igangan in Ibarapa by Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho, more revelations are emerging about how criminal Fulani herdsmen perpetrated their evil activities with impunity for years in the area.

A Yoruba woman who identified herself as Alhaja Muibat has come out to narrate her ordeal in the hands Seriki Fulani, Soliu Abdulkadir and his son, Soliu Uthman and how they threatened her over her farmland. She described herself as an agriculturist whom Alao destroyed her farmland in Igangan, Oyo State.

She alleged that Alao, Seriki and his son threatened her not to step on her farmland of 60 acres after they destroyed it. She said her siblings later pleaded with her to forgive Alao after she charged him to Court with condition that he would vacate her farmland and pay damages to her.

Upon hearing her request for damages, Seriki was saddened about it. She added that Seriki said she had embarrassed and that he would deal decisively with her. She revealed that Aborode, a Nigerian Ph.D. holder returnee was killed somewhere close to her farmland sometimes ago.

From Igbo Ora to Gbenga and Okeho to Ibarapa, there's no rest of mind over Fulani invasion of their lands, she added. She said Seriki and his son, Uthman had the effrontery to confront her over her farmland.

She pleaded with all Yorubas that should she be killed over this issue, Seriki and his son should be arrested. She added that it is known in Igangan that no one has any issue with Seriki and go Scot free. Please arrest Seriki and his son if I get assassinated or killed in Lagos or in Igangan.

She revealed that nothing less than seven people are being kidnapped weekly, citing the week Aborode was killed as a reference. She urged Alaafin of Oyo and Sunday Igboho to call Seriki to order, adding she has been on the case for four months now.
