Uganda Election: Yoweri Museveni wins Sixth Term As Uganda President


Uganda President, Yoweri Museveni has been re-electedwith 58.6% of the vote, in an election competed by his opposition candidate Bobi Wine who lost with a 34.8% of the total vote.
  
"The electoral commission declares Yoweri Museveni, elected President of the republic of Uganda," the election commission chairman Justice Simon Byabakama said.

The electoral commission chairman of Uganda encouraged the citizens to “remain calm and accept the outcome of these elections” while reminding those celebrating to be mindful of the Covid-19 pandemic.

38-year-old former musician Bobi Wine, who competed with Museveni for presidency called the outcome of the election as fraud.
