Ekiti East Bye Election: PDP Thugs on rampage


One person has  been feared dead after PDP thugs started shooting sporadically in Ward 7, Omuo Ekiti in the ongoing bye election into the Ekiti East Constituency 1, House of Assembly.

Eye witness accounts said Senator Olujimi was moving round the polling units when thugs following her attempted to disarm policemen at the polling units and in the process they started shooting sporadically leading to stray bullets hitting about four people out of whom one  is feared dead. 

The wounded have been taken to the hospital.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.
