NSCDC Arrest 9 Cows Over destruction of farmland In Ekiti

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ekiti has arrested nine cows for alleged destruction of farmlands in Ekiti.

The State Commandant, Solomon Iyamu, disclosed this in a statement by the command’s spokesman, Tolu Afolabi, in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday.

Mr Iyamu, according to the statement, said the command got a distress call from farmers around Datunchi, in Ikere-Ekiti, calling for assistance as herders were destroying their farms.

The commandant said that men of the Agro Rangers unit were deployed immediately to arrest and forestallu breakdown of laws and order in the area.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.

Gulak's Death: Buhari Vows to deploy all resources' to capture culprits
