The Leadership of NYC in Ekiti Visit Oluyin Of Iyin Ekiti

The newly inaugurated Chairman of Nigerian Youth Congress in Ekiti, Comrade Tosin Adesuyi led other  state Executives on  a visit to the palace of Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye, Oyinyosaye Uyin lll on 10th March, 2021.

During their cause of visitation, the youths had an extensive discussion with the Kabiesi on how to rebrand the traditional institutions to be creator of jobs as an alternative to the unrealistic expectations of the youth from the govt. 

In this regard, a presentation of a proposal on the need to establish an entertainment industry for Ekiti youths as a way of creating employment for the unemployed talented youth was made to his Majesty. 

The Youth Chairman emphasised on the importance of the support of the traditional institutions to the development of the youths in the state as a way of keeping the society free of social menace.

 He expressed  confident in the traditional approach to resolving the challenges bedevilling the society. 

The Oluyin in his response congratulated the newly constituted NYC Executive and  expressed his delight over their visitation. 

He advised the youths to be serious minded and never turn themselves to tools in the hands of politicians.

While promising his all round supports towards any project focusing on youth development, the Kabiesi also advised the youth to do away with all social vices in the society. 

On final note, the youths received the royal blessing of Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti before they left.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.
