Political Tragedy Hit PDP And SDP As 500 leaders and members Decamp to APC In Ekiti


Today was unforgettable political epoch making in the Ikole LGA as over 500 political veterans with two former PDP Party Chairman and the incumbent SDP Ikole LGA Chairman leads their members to defect to our great party APC today, being the 12th May, 2021.

Among those politicians from across the 12 Wards in Ikole LGA who defected today are 
Chief Femi Ogunleye former PDP Ikole LGA Party Chairman, Chief Afolabi James Ajila incumbent Ikole LGA SDP Chairman.
Chief Sunday Awogbemi, forme Ikole LGA PDP Constituency 2 Chainman..
Hon Ayo Ajibade, former Ikole LGA Council Vice Chairman and former Ikole LGA Council Secretary, Prince Femi Fafure, former Ikole LGA Council Vice Chairman, former Ikole LGA Party Secretary and incumbent PDP Ikole LGA Party Chairman, Sen Olujimi's group.
Mr Lewis Aluko, former Ikole LGA Council Adviser and Chairman Health Affairs Committee and present Ikole LGA Party PRO.

Other are Oloye Ariya, former PDP Ikole LGA PRO, Mr Bamisile Emmanuel, PDP chieftain, Ikole LGA, Mrs Modupe, Omoniyi Ward4 SDP woman leader,  Mrs Ajayi Bolanle,  Ward 3 SDP woman leader and all their supporters and loyalists.

It was a great celebration.
Speaking @ the occasion, through their leaders, they expressed the unprecedented, landmarks and tremendous transformation projects of the JKF led APC government.
They pledged their unalloyed loyalty and supports for Dr John Kayode Fayemi 
And made a promise that, they coming to the APC would strengthen the APC in Ikole LGA and assured the APC party Leaders that, in the future general elections that the APC will defeat the main opposition party, the PDP with overwhelming and hands down victory.

They also expressed the encouraging and motivational spirit of our brother, the Commissioner for Finance, Mr Akin Oyebode and the unrelenting commitments of Hon Gbenga Akinola APC Chieftain and Mr Femi Fatunla the SSA Office of the CoS who made their defection to the APC a reality.

In his reactions and accepting the decampees to the APC , the APC Ikole LGA Party Chairman Chief thanked all the decampees and assured them as equal treatments with the APC family as there is no joiners in the APC. But rather a family of equal rights and recognition to all members.

He enjoined them to be punctual in all their various Wards meeting accordingly.

Fatoba Mourns Demise Of Prominent Ado Chief, Eyeigba

The Honourable  member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,  Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba has mourned the demise of Ado-Ekiti prominent Chief and  foremost  accountant Chief(Mrs) Abike Sonoiki, the Eiyegba of Ado-Ekiti who gave up the ghost on Thursday, 15th July, 2021. In a statement in Abuja, he described Eiyegba as a character personified, an  intellectual, a caring mother or Aunt who had meritoriously and selflessly served Ekiti State in various capacities as former SSG and Commissioner. According to the lawmaker, Eiyegba would be sorely missed for her wise counsel and motherly role.  Hon. Fatoba prayed that God would grant her eternal rest.

Gulak's Death: Buhari Vows to deploy all resources' to capture culprits

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed outrage and disgust over what he called “the heinous murder of Adamawa politician Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo State by yet to be identified gunmen.” Reacting to the development on Sunday, the President said: “I’m repulsed by such premeditated and gruesome murder of Gulak by evil people who are determined to undermine the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our country.” “Let me warn however that nobody or group of people who engages in such despicable acts should expect to go free.
